Using Your Dental Insurance
Dental plans vary a lot, even between two people with the same carrier. Our team can help you understand what your plan covers, verify your coverage and prepare a pretreatment estimate before larger work begins.
We don't publish a list of accepted carriers, because plans and networks change. The simplest thing is to call the office you'd like to visit with your plan details. If you're a new patient, enter your insurance information on your new patient forms so the team can look into it before you arrive.
Paying for Your Care
Once you have a written treatment plan, you'll know what's recommended, what your insurance is expected to pay and what's left for you. Some patients pay that portion as they go. Others prefer to spread it out, which is where financing can help.
We work with two financing companies, Cherry and Sunbit. Each one handles its own application and sets its own terms.
Cherry
Cherry lets you split treatment costs into monthly payments. Payment options through Cherry are issued by Cherry Technologies' lending partners, so approval and terms depend on the lender.
You can learn more at withcherry.com, or ask our team how to apply.
Sunbit
Sunbit gives patients more options on how and when they pay. Terms are set by Sunbit, and you'll see them before you agree to anything.
Details are available at sunbit.com, and the front desk can help you get started.
What Insurance Usually Doesn't Cover
Most dental plans are built around preventive and necessary care. Cosmetic treatment, such as whitening or veneers placed mainly for appearance, usually isn't covered. Coverage for other work depends on your plan and the reason for treatment.
A written estimate is the best way to avoid surprises. It shows each part of your plan, what your insurance is expected to contribute and your share, so you can decide what to do now and what can wait. If you have questions about any line on it, get in touch with our team.
