What a Routine Visit Includes
A typical preventive visit pairs a cleaning with an exam. Your hygienist removes plaque and tartar and polishes your teeth. Dr. Kaceli then looks at your teeth, gums, bite and jaw joints, checks existing fillings and crowns, and screens for signs of oral cancer.
Our Newton exam rooms use digital radiography and iTero and TRIOS intraoral scanners, plus CBCT 3D cone-beam imaging when a closer look is needed. The scanners create a 3D picture of your teeth on screen, so you can see what Dr. Kaceli sees and ask about it right there.
