Patient Information

Everything you need before your first appointment at our Newton or Norwood office, from forms and insurance to what the visit itself looks like.

Your First Visit

You can save time at the front desk by completing your paperwork online before you come in. Our new patient forms take a few minutes and cover your health history, contact details and insurance.

Plan to arrive a little early so there's time to say hello, check in and settle into the chair without rushing. Please bring:

  • Your dental insurance card, if you have one
  • A photo ID
  • A list of the medications you take

If you have X-rays or records from a previous dentist, mention it when you book and the team can tell you how to get them to us.

What Happens at a First Visit

Your first appointment starts with a conversation about your goals, followed by a thorough exam with intraoral camera photos, digital X-rays or 3D imaging as needed, a 3D digital scan and a saliva pH test. You leave with a written plan and a clear explanation of costs.

See what to expect at your first visit for the full step-by-step.

Insurance and Payment

Dental benefits can be confusing. Our team will help you understand what your plan covers and, before larger treatment, can prepare a pretreatment estimate so the cost isn't a surprise.

For care that insurance doesn't fully cover, we offer financing through Cherry and Sunbit, which let you spread payments out over time. You'll find more detail on our insurance and financing page.

Questions Between Visits

Something feels off after a filling, or you're wondering whether a sore spot is normal? Call us. Dr. Kaceli makes sure patients always get an answer when they call with a question or concern, day or night.

For anything routine, like moving an appointment or asking about a bill, the front desk at each office can help during business hours. Phone numbers for both offices are on our contact page.

Languages Spoken by Our Team

Between them, members of our team speak English, French, Farsi, Arabic, Albanian, Greek and Lithuanian. If you or a family member would be more comfortable in one of these languages, let us know when you call and we'll do our best to arrange it.

Common Questions From New Patients

Do you accept my insurance?
We don't publish a list of carriers, because plans change often. Call the office with your plan details and the team will check your coverage and explain your benefits.
Do you see children?
Yes, we see children as well as adults. When you book, tell us your child's age and whether this is their first dental visit so we can plan the appointment around them.
What if I'm nervous about the dentist?
Tell us when you book. Dr. Kaceli's approach is calm and gentle, and she'll explain each step before she does it. You can ask to pause at any point, and you can ask about comfort and sedation options for your treatment.
How do I reschedule or cancel an appointment?
Call the office where your appointment is booked. The more notice you can give, the easier it is to find you a new time.
How long does a first visit take?
It varies with what you need and whether X-rays and a cleaning are part of the visit. The team can give you a better idea when you book.
Can I be seen at either office?
Yes. Dr. Kaceli practices at both Newton and Norwood, so you can choose the office that's easier for you. Call the one you'd like to visit to book.
